Public awareness campaigns adopted by countries are an urgent necessity in the developing world. These campaigns aim to raise the level of public awareness and enhance public participation in the development process managed and implemented by ministries and government departments, to publicize the achievements and strengthen trust between the state (the government) and the public.
FIRSTLY: violence againest women
Violence against women is the physical or psychological violence in general that women in our society are subjected to and suffer from in their daily lives on the street, in the workplace or at home. This results in psychological discrimination as well as physical or sexual discrimination.
Harrasment
Harassment: It is any unwanted act from the other party, a violation of privacy and a lack of respect for the freedom of others. It has multiple forms such as verbal or physical harassment. Harassment appears at a high rate in our society.
FGM
FGM does not protect the girl, as some believe, and does not preserve her chastity. Rather, it causes severe health and psychological damage that will continue with her throughout her life, and it spreads more in slums and rural areas due to ignorance and poverty.
Early marriage for children
The legal age for marriage in Egypt is after the age of 18, so marrying before the 18th is a crime that loses her rights and robs her of her innocence and her childhood, and this happens because of the lack of knowledge of parents about the damages of early marriage to their daughters
Secondly: POPULATION GROWTH
A team of experts, under the supervision of the National Population Council, presented a strategy called (the National Population and Development Strategy). This is for the years between 2015-2030
The strategy has several objectives, foremost of which is building a harmonious and cohesive society. Increasing social cohesion among members of the community. Achieving a balance between population growth and the availability of natural resources. And aspiration to provide a better life for the residents, and to give all members of society the basic services on an equal basis
