India’s independence day 8/15 has become the international day of Al-Mahatma Gandhi for his efforts to achieve peace for his country so india celebrates this date every year.

The beginnings of Al- Mahatma Gandhi

Gandhi was born in the northwestern Indian state of Porbandar on October 2, 1869.

His family described as elite, as his father was the state’s chief minister.

His mother was a deeply religious woman. strongly inculcated in him Hindu morals, vegetarianism, religious tolerance and a simple and non-violent lifestyle.

Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was an Indian lawyer.

anti-colonial nationalist, and political ethicist who used nonviolent resistance to lead the successful campaign for India’s independence from British rule. and to inspire later movements for civil rights and freedom around the world.

Gandhi’s pacifist goals achieved when World War II weakened Britain’s grip on its empire.

He won his country’s independence in 1947. but his hopes for Hindu and Muslim communities to coexist in one state dashed when the country split into two states: India and Pakistan.

The split created more violence. and Gandhi returned to Delhi to help protect Muslims who chose to remain in India. and began fasting for Muslim rights.

Less than six months after independence. Gandhi was on his way to a prayer meeting in the city when he shot by a young Hindu fanatic.

The man was angry at Gandhi’s conciliatory stance towards Muslim communities and Pakistan.

People from all over the world united in mourning the death of a global peace figure. who had never seen his dream of seeing an “India” undivided by religion, sect or caste come true.
